Who is responsible

Blacktop Family Fleet, a sailboat brokerage based in Barcelona, Spain. Operated by [your full legal name or company name, and tax ID]. You can reach me at the email address on the contact page.

What the forms collect

Only what you type in:

• your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone or WhatsApp number;
• details about your boat (model, year, location, approximate price, timing) or the boat you're looking for and your budget range;
• your message, and whether you'd like to arrange a viewing;
• photos of your boat, if you choose to upload them.

Why

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a consultation, visit or viewing, and — if you asked — to tell you when a boat matching your search comes in. Nothing else. Your details are never sold, never added to a mailing list, and never shared for marketing.

The legal basis is that you asked me to get in touch (steps taken at your request before any agreement), and my legitimate interest in answering messages sent to me.

Who else handles it

Form messages are delivered to my inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which keeps a copy for up to 30 days. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs. Where these services are outside the EU, they process data under the safeguards required by EU law. If you contact me on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to that conversation.

When a sale goes ahead, the details needed to complete it are shared with the other party and, if you ask for them, with the specialists involved (for example a surveyor or lawyer) — always with your knowledge.

How long it's kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and any sale that follows, and deleted within 24 months of our last contact — unless the law requires records of a completed sale to be kept for longer.

Your rights, and how to have your details deleted

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted at any time. Just send an email to the address on the contact page with the subject "Delete my details". I'll confirm within one month, usually much sooner.

You can also object to how your details are used, or complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).

Cookies and outside services

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising tools. Two things do connect to outside services:

• The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address.
• Boat videos are hosted by Google and load only when you press play. Until then, no connection is made. Once you press play, Google's privacy policy applies to the video.
